Basilica Square BB and Zanetti House BB are two comfortable guesthouses in the center of Rome, well connected, in a central area of the famous city of Rome.

Basilica Square is ideal for guests who visite Rome and want to enjoy a prestigious view overlooking the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, Zanetti House allows a relaxing and quiet stay just 30 meters from the famous Piazza of San Giovanni in Laterano.

Some of our rooms overlook the historic Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano with a beautiful view of downtown Rome. Our two guesthouses in Rome are very nice furnished, each room has air condition and its own modern and comfortable bathroom with hairdryer. The room types are from singles to triples with extra beds.

Reception is open every day including Sundays, but not 24h.  Please, tell us your arrival time by email or phone 1 day before arrival. Your phone number and any e-mail address can be very helpfull fou us, to reach you before arrival time.

Guests will be greeted on arrival in Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano 26 for check-in, receiving the keys by the staff.

With only 5 minutes walk you will be infront of the majesty of the Colosseum and in little more time you will reach Piazza Venezia, Spanish Steps, St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City, Vatican Museums, Trastevere and the major sites of historical and artistic Rome. Also the most popular areas for shopping such as via del Corso and its well known Bars, Restaurants, Trattorias and meeting places with Nightclubs. To give an even more exceptional value and convenience to our location is the close proximity to Bus and Taxi main routes day and night, and the two Metro stops Manzoni and San Giovanni (Line A).

Basilica square and Zanetti house are also few steps from the San Giovanni-Addolorata hospital, well known all around Italy for the high quality services. The hospital entrance, on Via dell’Amba Aradam 9, is on the right side of the square where our rooms are situated.

HISTORY OF THE PIAZZA SAN GIOVANNI IN LATERANO

In Piazza San Giovanni in Lateran, the Papal power was concentrated before the move to the Vatican, and today it stands as an important point for Roman Christianity. The Square is located in a crossroads ancient and important like Via Merulana opened in 1575. Nearby, the Colosseum stands above all with the imperial forum at its back, presenting at any time of day images worthy of the most perfect “Roman Holiday“.
